Do you Meditate?

Mindful Meditation
We all get so caught up in our day to day lives we forgot to take some time out for ourselves and appreciate everything we do. For the past 2 years I have been working really hard on my relationship with myself and gosh i feel like a new woman. I find meditation really important and wanted to share it with you as its something we can do for ourselves anytime, anywhere and it's completely FREE.
Meditation is a practice that took me a while to get use to, at first i felt very weird and woowoo however now it is a part of my daily routine. It will take some time to get use to so please don't be hard on yourself. If you find yourself struggling or getting distracted i highly recommend finding a guided meditation on Youtube, Headspace or Calm - these are amazing to start with.
-
Get Comfortable - Find a quiet place to sit or lay, I find it best to put my yoga mat out in an uncluttered space and also light a candle.
-
Focus on your breathing- Meditation is all about breath work, feel your belly rise and fall, the air enter and leave your body. I like to breath in for 4, hold for 4 out for 4
-
Notice your thoughts - The goal is not to stop your thoughts, however actually get comfortable with your thoughts. Notice them, appreciate them and then return to your breath.
-
Timing - You can meditate for anywhere from 1 minute through to however long you need. You are the only person that knows what is best for you, i like to do 10-15 mins in the morning and night.
Meditation has some amazing benefits. It can reduce stress, lower your heart rate, improve your immunity and induce a better sleep.
Take some time for you today, meditate and let me know how you all went.
Have a beautiful day
Nat xx
